Bring your warm work gear and . We plan to clean out the other side of the deck to prepare for more boat storage and if conditions permit, we’ll install the dock. Next work party will be Sunday April 7 from 10am to 12noon. More work parties to follow as we also want to improve the dock access.

Sponsor a Dock Block – $60 donations:
Speaking of docks, at our last meeting, members expressed a desire to have a larger dock and that members are willing to sponsor a dock block. It turns out that the cost of each block is $60 each. If you’d like to sponsor a dock block, please send your donation to William Patino (club Treasurer) at We will be creating a collage of dock blocks and donors are welcome to sign their dock block too!

PCPC Memberships:
Based on feedback from our January meeting, we plan to offer two types of club memberships and then in turn offer team paddling sessions. Each team will promote a team leader to organize paddling times based on day/time works for the majority of that group. Each Sunday between 10am and 1pm, will be a suggested Club paddle time (both groups together).

Sample memberships:
· Competitive – members to paddle together on certain days/times with a goal of competing at a variety of races over the season.
· The mileage club – members that want to paddle to stay in shape with a goal of accumulating certain mileage paddled over the season – your goal could be 20km to 2000km – your choice. This group is open to any type of water craft.

We’d also like to offer workshops in case you’d like to try a different vessel or would like to have a bit of coaching/tips/feedback on paddling. These events can be coordinated by team leaders and based on number of participants, we may reach out to gurus in that discipline to come to the club. There will be extra fees for this (based on how many participate in that event).

Social Paddling – White Water Paddling – Sunday 26 May:
Social Outing in conjunction with Credit River White Water Paddling Club – paddle from Erindale to PCPC on Sunday 26 May. Paddlers may be able to sign out white water boats/helmets or bring their own canoe. Not recommended for sprint/OC type boats.
Social potluck BBQ to follow.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, March 31th and enjoying another season of fun and friends on the water!
